Privacy policy
What this website collects, which is very little, and what happens to it. In plain English, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.

Who we are
Ludus Actius is a training studio at 10312 Bloomingdale Ave, Riverview, FL 33578. We run this website. If you want to ask anything about this policy, or about information we hold on you, write to info@ludusactiususa.com or call (813) 372-1083.
The short version
This site has no sign up form, no login, and no shopping cart. It does not ask you for your name, and there is nowhere on it to type your email address. Booking a class and buying a membership both happen on outside services, and those services have their own policies, which we link to below.
We do not sell anyone's personal information for money, and we never have. Some state privacy laws use a broader definition of selling and sharing that covers sending browsing data to an advertising partner, and under that definition our advertising cookies count. The section on advertising below says exactly what is shared and how to stop it.
What the website itself collects
Like every website, ours runs on a web server that keeps a log of requests. A log line records the IP address of the visitor, the browser and device, the page requested, and the time. Our hosting provider keeps those logs to run and secure the server, and we do not use them to build a profile of anyone.
We do not ask you to create an account here, so there is no username, no password and no profile stored on this site.
When you book a free class
The button that books your tour and first class opens the Ludus Actius calendar on Google Calendar. You are leaving this website at that point. Google asks for the name and email address it needs to hold the appointment and to send you the confirmation, and Google handles that information under its own privacy policy.
What reaches us is the booking itself: your name, your email address, and the slot you picked. We use it to expect you at the door and to contact you if the time has to change. It stays in the studio calendar.
When you buy a membership
Memberships are sold on an outside booking and payment platform, not on this website. That platform collects the details it needs to take payment, including your card details, which never reach this website or our servers. Its own privacy policy governs what it does with them.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. This site uses three kinds, and they do different jobs.
Necessary. WordPress sets a small number of cookies to make pages work and to keep the site secure. Without them the site breaks, so they are always on.
Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies that count visits and show us which pages people actually read. See the next section.
Advertising. Google sets cookies that measure whether an ad led to a booking, and that let us show ads to people who visited this site. See the section after that.
Analytics and advertising cookies wait for your answer to the banner that appears on your first visit. You can change that answer at any time, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones may break parts of the site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages get read, how people arrive, roughly where in the world they are, and what kind of device they are on. It tells us that forty people read the membership page last week. It does not tell us who they are, and we never try to find out.
Google Analytics collects an identifier stored in a cookie, your IP address, which Google shortens before storing it, and the pages you look at here. Google processes that for us under its privacy policy, and there is a plain description of what Google does with data from sites like ours here.
You can switch it off for every site you visit with Google's opt out add on.
Advertising and remarketing
We run ads on Google. Two things follow from that, and both of them touch you.
Measuring. When you arrive here from an ad, the link carries a click identifier. If you then book a class, Google tells us that an ad led to a booking. We see the count, not the person.
Remarketing. Google can show our ads later to people who visited this site. That is why you might see Ludus Actius on another website or on YouTube after coming here. Google uses a cookie or a similar identifier for this, and it is tied to your browser rather than to your name.
We do not upload customer lists, email addresses or phone numbers to any advertising platform, and we do not build interest profiles of our own. What reaches Google is what the tag on this site collects: the pages you visited here and the identifier in the cookie.
You can turn personalised ads off across all of Google at My Ad Center, and you can opt out of most other advertising networks at once at optout.aboutads.info. Declining advertising cookies in our banner also stops the tag on this site.
If you live in a state with a privacy law
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and a growing list of other states give you the right to opt out of having your personal information sold or shared for targeted advertising, and the right to see, correct or delete what a business holds about you.
You can use all of it in two ways: decline advertising cookies in the banner, which stops the sharing at the source, or write to info@ludusactiususa.com and tell us what you want. We will not charge you for asking, and we will not treat you differently for having asked.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we take it as an opt out request without you having to do anything else.
Links that leave this site
We link to our Instagram, to Google Maps for directions, to Google Calendar for bookings, and to Google Play for our app. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's service, under their policy and their cookies. We have no control over what they collect.
The Ludus Actius app
Our training app is published on Google Play and is operated for us by MyPerformanceIQ. It is a separate product from this website, it collects the information it needs to track your training, and it is governed by its own privacy policy rather than by this one.
Email and text messages
We use your email address to answer you and to confirm bookings. If we ever send news or offers, every message will carry a way to stop them, and stopping them takes one click.
We will not send you marketing text messages unless you have asked us to, in writing, and replying STOP to any message ends them.
Children
Our Kids Program is for ages five to twelve, but this website is not written for children and is not directed at them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under thirteen through this site. A parent or guardian books the class, and what we hold about a child in the program is what that parent gave us at the studio: a first name, an age, and anything about health that the coach needs to keep them safe.
If you believe a child has given us information through this website, write to info@ludusactiususa.com and we will delete it.
How long we keep things
Server logs are kept only as long as our host needs them to run and protect the site. Booking and membership records are kept while you are a member and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. If you ask us to delete what we hold and nothing legally requires us to keep it, we will.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time. Write to info@ludusactiususa.com and we will answer within thirty days.
Changes to this policy
If what we do with information changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and leave the old text standing.
